Blindley Heath is a small village in the district of Tandridge in Surrey, England, sitting a short distance from Lingfield and Godstone and within easy commuting reach of London. It feels like a quietly residential, semi-rural community set amid mixed farmland and woodland rather than a built-up town.
The hamlet is best known for the nearby nature reserve and protected wetland sites created by former quarrying, with a deep lake and reedbeds that support a notable variety of dragonflies, amphibians and wildflowers; the area’s industrial past has therefore become important for wildlife today. Socially it remains a small, village-centred place with local activities and a largely residential, countryside character rather than any big commercial centre.
