Stratton St. Margaret is a former village and civil parish on the north‑east edge of Swindon, in Wiltshire, England. Largely absorbed into Swindon’s suburban spread, it sits a short drive from the town centre and the M4 corridor and now combines residential streets with pockets of light industry and trading estates.
Historically the settlement grew around its medieval parish church, St Margaret’s Church, and later expanded with Swindon’s 20th‑century industrial boom so many locals worked in engineering and manufacturing. Today it retains a distinct local identity with schools, community groups and village‑style amenities alongside its commuter population.
