Preston Patrick is a small rural parish in Westmorland and Furness in north‑west England, sitting a few miles south of Kendal and on the fringes of the Lake District National Park. The landscape is typical low‑lying Cumbrian countryside of rolling limestone fields and scattered farms, with hamlets such as Crooklands nearby and good road links towards the M6, Lancaster and the coast at Morecambe Bay.
Historically part of the old county of Westmorland, the parish has a modest medieval church dedicated to St Patrick and a long agricultural tradition; today many residents commute to Kendal or Lancaster, while community life centres on the village hall, local events and the county agricultural show held at nearby Crooklands.
