Mansergh is a small, rural village and civil parish in Westmorland and Furness, in the north of England, set amid gentle rolling countryside between the Lune valley and the Howgill Fells. The landscape is marked by stone-built farmhouses, drystone walls and winding lanes, and its quiet lanes and views make it popular with walkers and birdwatchers.
Historically part of the old county of Westmorland, the community remains largely agricultural, with sheep and cattle farming at its heart and a close-knit social life centred on village institutions. Surviving field patterns and a small parish church hint at medieval roots, while nearby market towns such as Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale provide shops, services and occasional cultural events.
