Water Oakley is a small riverside hamlet on the north bank of the River Thames, within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in England. It sits close to the villages of Bray and Windsor and is known for its floodplain meadows, winding footpaths and a generally tranquil, rural character popular with walkers and boaters.
The area is best known for the Victorian Gothic country house Oakley Court, now a hotel and occasional film location, and for being part of a local conservation area with several listed buildings; there is little industry in the hamlet itself, so the local economy leans on hospitality and the nearby culinary and tourist draw of Bray and Windsor. Socially it remains a small, residential community prized for riverside access, wildlife-rich meadows and easy links to larger towns and attractions.
