Dunnamanagh is a largely rural ward in the western part of Derry City and Strabane district within County Tyrone, set against the rolling foothills of the Sperrin Mountains. The landscape is a patchwork of dairy and sheep farms, hedgerows and small hamlets, and many residents combine local agricultural work with commuting to nearby market towns such as Strabane.
The community has a strong local identity, with active sports and cultural groups - especially Gaelic games - and small-scale businesses and seasonal tourism linked to countryside walking and angling. Historic roots are evident in local churches and vernacular buildings, and the name itself recalls the Irish DĂșn na Manach, reflecting a long rural heritage in this part of Ulster.
