Bankfoot is a small village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, set in a quietly rural part of the Tay valley a few miles north of Perth. It grew up as a local crossroads and farming settlement and still shows that mix of modest stone buildings, a parish church and ribbon development along the main road, with easy access to the hills and rivers of nearby Highland Perthshire.
Today the village combines traditional agriculture with a commuter feel - many residents travel into Perth for work - while local life revolves around a village hall, pub and primary school, and outdoor pursuits. Walks, cycling and fishing on the River Tay bring occasional visitors, and a close-knit community spirit remains an important part of everyday life.
