Cenarth sits on the banks of the River Teifi in Carmarthenshire, right where the county meets Ceredigion. It’s best known for Cenarth Falls, a dramatic set of waterfalls where salmon are often seen leaping, and the attractive stone bridge and old mill beside the river that draw walkers and photographers from the Teifi Valley and Cardigan Bay area.
The community remains distinctly rural, with farming still central to the local economy while tourism, tearooms and small craft enterprises add income. Historic features such as St Llawddog's Church and the coracle‑fishing heritage give the village a strong sense of place, and river‑based activities and local events help keep cultural traditions alive.
