Llanon is a small coastal village in Ceredigion, on the sweeping shore of Cardigan Bay between Aberaeron and Aberystwyth. It has a pebbly beach and a modest harbour, and the Wales Coast Path runs nearby, making it popular with walkers who enjoy wide sea views and the chance of spotting the resident bottlenose dolphins that frequent the bay.
Historically a fishing and small‑trading community, Llanon still bears that maritime character but now leans on tourism, local services and commuting to larger towns. The village retains a strong Welsh‑speaking identity, community amenities like a village hall and chapel, and a low‑key social life centred on local events, the pub and seasonal visitors.
