Llanrhystud is a small coastal village on the west coast of Ceredigion in Wales, sitting on the A487 between Aberystwyth and Cardigan. It has a long shingle beach and an exposed shoreline popular with walkers and birdwatchers, with views across Cardigan Bay and easy access to coastal trails.
The village feels traditionally Welsh, with farming, small-scale tourism and lots of people who commute to larger towns supporting the local economy. Historic touches include the parish church dedicated to St Rhystud and reminders of the old Carmarthen–Aberystwyth railway era; there’s also a lively community life centred on the pub, chapel and seasonal events.
