Holywell Central is a central ward in Flintshire, sitting around the historic town of Holywell in north Wales. The area is best known for St Winefride's Well, a medieval pilgrimage spring and one of the traditional wonders of Wales, and for the industrial heritage preserved at Greenfield Valley, with the old milling and mining landscape framed by the hills of Halkyn Mountain.
Today the ward mixes a compact town centre of shops and services with residential streets and light industry; community life is shaped by heritage tourism, local events and grassroots organisations, and good road links to the A55 and neighbouring towns such as Mold make it a practical base for working across the county.
