Bagillt is a small coastal village on the north bank of the Dee Estuary in Flintshire, Wales, giving it broad views across the water to the Wirral. It sits between larger towns such as Flint and Connah's Quay and is linked to regional road and rail routes, making it both a commuter settlement and a place with a strong local identity.
The village has a pronounced industrial heritage born of 18th–19th century coal and metal-working industries, and remnants of that past colour the townscape alongside Victorian and more modern housing. Today there are community-led regeneration efforts, and the estuary and nearby coastal paths attract walkers and birdwatchers, so Bagillt combines working-class roots with access to notable coastal scenery and wildlife.
