Bodedern is a small village and community on the western side of the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, sitting in a patchwork of farmland not far between Holyhead and Llangefni. Its setting gives easy access to the island’s rugged west coast and beaches, with views towards Snowdonia on clear days and nearby transport links including the airbase at RAF Valley, so it feels rural while still being well connected.
Locally there’s a strong Welsh-speaking community, a village hall, primary school and a handful of small businesses and farms that sustain the area; many residents commute to larger towns. The village also shares in Anglesey’s long history and countryside attractions, with traditional community events, outdoor walking and coastal tourism nearby and heritage sites such as mills and old churches reachable within a short drive (for example the restored Llynnon Mill and other island landmarks).
