Trearddur is a compact coastal village on the western side of Holy Island, part of the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, centred on a sheltered sandy bay and backed by rugged headlands and sea cliffs. The bay is popular for swimming, sailing, diving and rock pooling, with regular sightings of seals and passing dolphins, and easy access to notable coastal walking and birdwatching spots on the surrounding headland.
Once a small fishing community, Trearddur now has a tourism‑led economy with holiday parks, a sailing club and an RNLI lifeboat presence, while still retaining a strong local, largely Welsh‑speaking identity. The village comes alive in summer with regattas and beach activities, but remains a quiet residential community outside the season, valued for its scenery, coastal heritage and close links to nearby towns and ferry services.
