Dale is a small coastal village at the tip of the Dale Peninsula in Pembrokeshire, Wales, sitting by the narrow entrance to the Milford Haven waterway and largely within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Its sweep of sands, cliffs and sheltered harbour make it popular with walkers, sailors and wildlife enthusiasts, with seals, seabirds and marine life often seen from the shore and the coastal path.
Historically the village has been shaped by its strategic coastal position and 19th-century fortifications, notably Dale Fort, which today is an educational and marine study centre. The local economy revolves around seasonal tourism, small-scale fishing and farming, with many residents also connected to work in and around Milford Haven; socially it retains a close-knit community with a strong sailing and outdoors culture.
