Neyland is a small parish and harbour town on the northern shore of the Milford Haven waterway in west Pembrokeshire, Wales, with broad estuary views across to Pembroke Dock. Its position on mudflats and tidal creeks means the area is rich in birdlife and offers popular waterfront walks and sailing, while old railway embankments and quays provide handy routes for cyclists and walkers.
Much of the town’s character comes from its 19th‑century development as the western terminus for the Great Western Railway and the associated port infrastructure; the former docks are now largely a marina and light industrial area. Local life mixes maritime heritage with a working community that often commutes to nearby centres such as Haverfordwest, and the town supports clubs, small businesses and seasonal leisure trade.
