Llandinam is a small, riverside community in Powys, Wales, set in the rolling hills of the upper River Severn valley. The village feels distinctly rural and close‑knit, with farmland, hedgerow landscapes and attractive river scenery that make walking, fishing and other outdoor pursuits popular with residents and visitors alike.
Historically the village is best known as the home of Victorian industrialist and philanthropist David Davies, whose family estate and local benefactions left a lasting mark on the area; you can still see historic houses and a compact village centre reflecting that legacy. Today the local economy is largely agricultural with some small businesses and tourism, and many people commute to nearby towns such as Newtown or Welshpool while village life remains shaped by community events, the village hall and an active parish spirit.
