Wyboston is a small hamlet in the Borough of Bedford in Bedfordshire, tucked close to the south bank of the River Great Ouse and near the county boundary with Cambridgeshire. It lies a short drive from the market town of St Neots and beside the A1, the modern route that largely follows the old Great North Road.
Despite its modest size and rural feel, Wyboston is best known for the Wyboston Lakes business and leisure complex - conference hotels, a golf course and lakes used for watersports that contribute significant local employment and visitor traffic. The hamlet, part of the civil parish of Wyboston, Chawston and Colesden, blends quiet village life with the practicalities of being on a major transport corridor and within easy commuting distance of nearby towns and the A1/M1 motorway network.
