The parish covers the small villages of Wyboston, Chawston and Colesden, on the southern edge of the Bedford borough. It lies largely on the floodplain of the River Great Ouse close to the Cambridgeshire border and the market town of St Neots, so the landscape mixes riverside meadows with arable farmland.
The best‑known local feature is Wyboston Lakes, a sizeable conference, leisure and golf complex that brings visitors and jobs to an otherwise quiet, commuter‑leaning community; beyond that the area retains a strong agricultural character, a handful of historic farmhouses and active village groups and a parish council that keep local life focused on small‑scale events and services.
