Beaconsfield sits on the edge of the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire, England, and is notable for a clear split between a picturesque cobbled Old Town and a Victorian New Town by the station. The town has historic associations - Benjamin Disraeli adopted the title Earl of Beaconsfield - and a quirky cultural draw in the form of the Bekonscot Model Village, one of the oldest model villages in the world.
Today Beaconsfield is an affluent commuter town with strong local shops, arts venues and the National Film and Television School on its doorstep, and it benefits from fast rail services into London (to Marylebone) plus easy road access to the M40, which helps explain its high house prices and reputation for good schools and a settled community.
