Chalfont St. Peter sits on the northern edge of the Chiltern Hills in South Buckinghamshire and is one of the county’s largest villages. It’s a leafy, suburban area within London’s commuter belt, close to Gerrards Cross, Little Chalfont and Amersham, with quick road access to the M25 and rail and Underground services nearby that make journeys into London straightforward.
The centre retains a mix of independent shops, cafés, pubs, schools and sports clubs, and there are conservation areas and surrounding greenbelt countryside offering good walking links into the AONB. Historically a parish and market village with an attractive church and traditional high street, it is today largely family‑oriented and prosperous, with a local economy of small businesses and many residents commuting to professional jobs in the region.
