Fulmer is a small village and civil parish in south Buckinghamshire, sitting just a couple of miles from Gerrards Cross and close to the boundary with Slough. Set on the edge of the Chilterns landscape, it retains a distinctly rural feel with lanes, commons and a village core of older houses rather than large new developments; the area is popular with people who commute into London for work while enjoying country living.
Historically the village grew around a small manor and a parish church with medieval roots, and today it’s largely residential with a quiet, community-minded character. Local life is influenced by nearby towns such as Beaconsfield and the commercial centres around Slough, so while Fulmer feels tucked away it benefits from good road and rail links and the services of the wider commuter belt.
