Great Brickhill is a small village and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, set on a ridge of the Chiltern Hills overlooking the Vale of Aylesbury. Its elevated position gives long views across rolling downland and hedged farmland, and yet the village is within easy reach of Milton Keynes and the commuter routes into London.
The settlement has medieval roots reflected in its parish church and a number of older houses and manor-related buildings; today it combines agriculture with a largely residential population. There’s an active village community centred on the village hall, primary school and sports clubs, and local events and conservation efforts help retain a distinct rural character despite growing links with nearby towns.
