The village of Little Brickhill sits on a ridge overlooking the old route of Watling Street (now the A5), on the southern edge of the Milton Keynes borough in historic Buckinghamshire. One of the three Brickhills (with Great Brickhill and Bow Brickhill), it has medieval origins and long associations with coaching traffic on the London–northwest routes, reflected in a handful of older inns and farm buildings.
Today Little Brickhill retains a quietly rural, conservation‑minded feel despite being within commuting distance of central Milton Keynes and the M1; the local economy is largely residential with surrounding agriculture, and community life is focused on village events and a small group of historic and listed buildings. Its elevated position gives pleasant countryside views and a sense of separation from the nearby new‑town development.
