Hazlemere is a suburban village in Buckinghamshire just to the north‑east of High Wycombe, sitting on the edge of the Chiltern Hills and largely characterised by residential streets, pockets of common land and a modest local centre of shops and services. Its position close to the A404 and M40 makes it a convenient commuter base for High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and London, while nearby countryside offers easy access for walkers and families.
Historically a small rural hamlet named for the hazel trees in the area, Hazlemere expanded substantially during the 20th century and today combines a mixed community of families and retirees with local schools, sports clubs and community groups. The local economy is principally residential with small businesses and light trade serving everyday needs, and community events and facilities give the place a village feel despite its suburban links to larger towns.
