Hughenden Valley is a village and civil parish tucked into the western scarp of the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire, England, just a few miles north of High Wycombe. The valley’s chalk downland, beech woodlands and winding lanes are typical of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the headwaters of the River Wye run through the surrounding countryside, making it popular with walkers and nature lovers.
Its best‑known landmark is Hughenden Manor, the Victorian country home of Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, now looked after by the National Trust and visited for its house, gardens and estate walks; Disraeli is buried in the nearby churchyard. Today the area is largely residential and commuter‑orientated for London, with local shops, village groups and a mix of small businesses and farming, while heritage tourism and outdoor recreation contribute to the local economy.
