Wilburton is a compact village and civil parish in East Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire, sitting on the edge of the low-lying The Fens a few miles from Ely. Its landscape is dominated by fertile arable farmland and the network of drainage channels that reclaimed the fens, making it a quietly scenic spot for country walks and birdwatching.
Despite its modest size the village has a strong community feel and a long history: late Bronze Age metalwork found locally gave its name to the "Wilburton‑Wallington" archaeological phase. The local economy remains largely agricultural, with many residents commuting to nearby towns and Cambridge, while village institutions such as the parish church and village hall sustain social life and regular events.
