Manea is a small village in the heart of the Fenland district of Cambridgeshire, England, set within the wide, flat marshes that characterise the Fens. The surrounding landscape of reclaimed peat and rich agricultural soil gives the area a distinctive horizon and supports extensive arable farming, with drainage channels, ditches and patches of fenland habitat that attract notable birdlife.
Locally there’s a strong village community with a hall, sports clubs and small local businesses, while many residents commute to nearby towns such as Ely and Peterborough. Historically the village’s character was shaped by fen drainage and rural industry, and it was once served by a station on the Ely–Peterborough line, reflecting its links to regional transport and trade.
