Grantchester is a small village in South Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire, England, situated a couple of miles south of Cambridge on the banks of the River Cam. Its low-lying meadows, riverside paths and thatched cottages make it a classic slice of the Cambridgeshire countryside and a popular spot for walking, punting and cycling - especially along the well-known stretch called Grantchester Meadows.

Historically associated with the poet Rupert Brooke and visitors from the Bloomsbury set, the village is famed for the Orchard tea garden and a handful of traditional pubs that draw both tourists and local academics; the television drama Grantchester has further raised its profile. Economically it blends agriculture and small-scale hospitality with an affluent commuter population working in Cambridge, and there is a strong local interest in preserving its rural character.
