Meppershall is a small village and civil parish in Central Bedfordshire, England, set on a modest rise a few miles south‑east of Shefford and roughly west of Luton. Its elevated position gives pleasant views across Bedfordshire towards the Chilterns, and it sits amid a patchwork of arable fields and hedgerows that still mark the surrounding countryside.
Historically a rural settlement, Meppershall retains much village character with a parish church, local pubs, a primary school and an active village hall; community clubs and annual events remain important to social life. While small‑scale farming and countryside activities persist, the village also functions as a commuter community for nearby towns and London, combining historic cottages with more recent housing developments.
