Germoe is a small rural village and civil parish in west Cornwall, England, tucked between Penzance and Helston. It sits inland from Mount's Bay amid the granite moorland and rolling farmland that characterises the far west of Cornwall, offering quiet lanes, hedged fields and easy access to coastal walks and nearby fishing villages.
The parish has a long history - its church is dedicated to the Irish missionary Saint Germoe and retains medieval fabric - and like much of west Cornwall it bears the marks of the tin and copper mining era, with old engine-house ruins and mining landscapes still visible. Today the local economy is largely agricultural with a boost from tourism and day visitors; it remains a small, close-knit community with the rural rhythms and Cornish cultural touches that attract walkers and people seeking a quieter pace of life.
