Lanivet is a small village in central Cornwall, England, lying about three miles east of Bodmin and just off the A30 on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. Its position gives easy access to moorland scenery while still being close to the county’s main road links.
The village has a quietly rural character: historically a farming parish with an old parish church and traces of prehistoric activity in the surrounding countryside. Local life revolves around the pub, village hall and primary school, with a modest local economy of agriculture and small enterprises supplemented by visitors and walkers drawn to the nearby moorland.
