Madron is a rural parish set on granite uplands a couple of miles north of Penzance in west Cornwall, England. The landscape mixes farmland and moorland with views towards the coast and nearby landmarks such as St Michael's Mount and, further afield, Land's End, making it popular with walkers and visitors exploring the far west of Cornwall.
The village is notable for its medieval church of St Maddern and the nearby holy well, and the parish has a long history visible in prehistoric earthworks and a local mining heritage shared with much of west Cornwall. Today the local economy blends agriculture and tourism with many residents commuting to nearby towns; socially it retains a lively village life centred on the church, hall and pubs, with active community groups and events.
