Mullion is a village and civil parish on the west side of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, England. It sits above a rocky, serpentine coastline with dramatic cliffs and a sheltered stone harbour at Mullion Cove, and the small Mullion Island lies just offshore. The stretch of coast is popular with walkers on the South West Coast Path and much of it is cared for by the National Trust, giving the area a protected, scenic feel.
Historically a small fishing and farming community, Mullion now balances local services and seasonal tourism; there’s a parish church dedicated to St Mellanus, a compact high street of independent shops and cafes, and an active village life. The distinctive Lizard geology, seabird colonies on the island and the characterful 19th-century harbour make it a draw for naturalists and photographers while keeping a relaxed rural atmosphere for residents.
