St. Blazey is a small town on the edge of the china-clay country in Cornwall, England, lying by the harbour village of Par and a short drive from St Austell. It sits close to the wooded Luxulyan Valley and is within easy reach of the popular Eden Project, so countryside and visitor attractions are never far away.
Historically the town grew around 19th-century mining and the china-clay industry, with rail links and Par harbour playing a key role in exporting minerals; traces of that industrial past remain in old railway buildings and clay tips. Today St. Blazey keeps a working, community-oriented feel with local shops, pubs and the well-known non-league side St Blazey A.F.C., while benefitting from being close to both industrial heritage and tourist traffic.
