St. Winnow is a small, rural parish in mid-Cornwall set along the valley of the River Fowey, between Lerryn and Lostwithiel. The landscape combines wooded riverbanks, pasture and narrow country lanes, with peaceful riverside walks and opportunities for angling that give the area a distinctly tranquil, green character.
The village clusters around an ancient church dedicated to the Celtic saint Winnoc and still shows medieval fabric and local monuments; historically the community has been rooted in agriculture with strong links to the river. Today the parish mixes farming, holiday accommodation and local commuters, and retains a strong local identity through church life and community activities that keep its rural traditions alive.
