Langwith is a small village in the district of Bolsover in Derbyshire, England, sitting close to the county boundary with Nottinghamshire. It forms part of a group of settlements including Upper Langwith, Nether Langwith and Langwith Junction, and enjoys easy access to surrounding countryside and the services of nearby towns.
Historically the village was shaped by the coal‑mining industry and the local railway junction, and the pattern of terraces and community facilities still reflects that industrial past. Since pit closures in the late 20th century there has been gradual regeneration, with a mix of social housing and small local enterprises, and the area offers a working village atmosphere with easy links to attractions such as Bolsover Castle and larger centres like Nottingham and Chesterfield for wider services and transport connections.
