Bradwell is a small village and civil parish in the Derbyshire Dales district of Derbyshire, England, lying on the western edge of the Peak District. Set amongst limestone and gritstone uplands it’s a popular base for walkers and climbers, with well-trodden routes and distinctive skyline features in the surrounding area towards Castleton and Mam Tor.
Historically the local economy was shaped by farming, lead mining and quarrying, traces of which can still be seen in old workings and stone-built cottages; today tourism and rural enterprises are important alongside a close-knit village community that centres on a pub, village hall and seasonal events. The combination of upland scenery, traditional buildings and easy access to nearby attractions gives the place a quietly popular, rural character.
