Green Fairfield is a small, sparsely populated civil parish in the High Peak district of Derbyshire, England, set on upland moors at the western edge of the Peak District. The landscape is typical of the Dark Peak - gritstone plateaux, drystone walls and sheep-grazed pastures with streams and pockets of rough moorland that make it popular with walkers and birdwatchers.
Locally the economy is largely agricultural, centred on hill farming and smallholdings, with few services inside the parish so residents look to nearby market towns for shops and schools. The area bears the quieter, rural side of Peak District history: small settlements, old field patterns and the occasional remnant of past industrial activity, forming a close-knit community with strong countryside character rather than any urban development.
