Pilsley and Morton is a largely rural, residential ward in North East Derbyshire, in the county of Derbyshire, England. It covers a handful of villages and hamlets set among rolling farmland on the eastern approaches to the Peak District, and sits within easy commuting distance of the market town of Chesterfield.
The area mixes agricultural traditions with an industrial past: traces of 19th–20th century coal‑mining survive alongside working farms, Victorian churches and village halls. Community life is centred on local pubs, fetes and clubs, while many residents balance local ties with travel to nearby centres such as Chesterfield, Sheffield and Derby, enjoying good access to countryside walking routes and small, locally run businesses.
