Taw Vale is a largely rural ward in Mid Devon, Devon, England, taking its name from the River Taw and the valley it follows. The landscape is typical Devon countryside: rolling fields, hedgerows, small woods and stone farmsteads linked by narrow lanes and a handful of small villages and hamlets with parish churches and village halls.
Economically the area remains rooted in mixed farming and small local enterprises, with many residents commuting to nearby market towns such as Tiverton or to Exeter. Outdoor recreation - walking, fishing and birdwatching - adds a modest tourism element, while local events, village pubs and conservation interest in riverside habitats and historic buildings give the ward a quiet but distinctive community character.
