Witheridge is a compact rural village and civil parish in North Devon, set in the rolling farmland of central Devon between Tiverton and South Molton, not far from the northern fringes of Exmoor. Its landscape is typical Devon countryside of hedged lanes, small woodlands and scattered farms, giving a quietly agricultural character rather than any heavy urban development.
Historically centred on farming, the village retains a strong community feel with a parish church, village hall, local clubs and a traditional pub, and hosts seasonal fetes and markets that reflect its rural economy and social life. Architectural hints of its long past appear in older stone cottages and church fabric, while many residents now combine local work with commuting to nearby market towns, keeping a mix of traditional and modern livelihoods.
