Kingsbridge is a market town and civil parish in the South Hams district of Devon, in south‑west England. It sits at the head of the estuary that winds out towards Salcombe, surrounded by rolling farmland and the creeks of the South Devon coast, and lies within the South Devon AONB.
Historically it grew as a small port and market centre and later lost its branch railway in the 1960s; today the local economy blends tourism, boating and yachting on the estuary with agriculture and a busy town centre of independent shops, cafés and regular markets, plus community events that reflect strong local civic life.
