South Huish is a small coastal civil parish in South Hams, Devon, England, lying just a short distance from the sailing town of Salcombe. The landscape is a mix of rolling farmland and dramatic coastline with cliffs, sheltered coves and sandy stretches; much of the area falls within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the nearby South West Coast Path makes it popular with walkers and birdwatchers.
Historically the community has lived by small-scale farming and fishing, and today tourism and marine leisure play a big part in the local economy alongside conservation efforts. The parish retains a quiet, dispersed character of hamlets and historic buildings, giving a strong sense of rural community and landscape stewardship rather than a bustling commercial centre.
