The village and civil parish of Ninfield lies in the district of Wealden in East Sussex, England, sitting on a ridge of the High Weald about four miles north of Bexhill-on-Sea and close to Battle. The surrounding landscape is typical of the Weald, with rolling farmland, small woodlands and broad views down towards the coast.
Ninfield has ancient roots reflected in its parish church and compact village layout and was long part of the agricultural and historic iron-working hinterland of the Weald. Today it remains a small rural community with a village hall, local clubs, a primary school and a handful of shops and pubs, its economy a mix of farming and residents who commute to nearby towns while maintaining an active local social life.
