Hutton North is a suburban ward within the borough of Brentwood in Essex, England, sitting between the town centre and the more open countryside to the east. It comprises mostly residential streets - from interwar and post‑war estates to the larger, leafy plots of Hutton Mount - with pockets of green space and conservation character that give it a semi‑rural feel despite being close to urban amenities.
The ward has a commuter‑belt character thanks to good road links and nearby rail at Shenfield and the A12, so many residents travel into London while local life centres on schools, churches, small shops and active community groups. Historically it grew out of rural hamlets as transport improved, and today it combines a relatively affluent, family‑oriented population with a desire to protect local greenbelt and village identity.
