Upper Rissington is a relatively new, primarily residential village on the Rissington plateau in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, England, built largely on land that was once part of RAF Little Rissington. The layout and some surviving buildings recall its airfield past, while the village sits on high ground with wide views across the rolling Cotswold countryside, within easy reach of the market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water.
Today it’s a compact, community-minded place popular with young families and commuters, with a primary school, community facilities, green spaces and local groups that stage events and activities. Economically the village is mostly residential, with locals working in nearby towns or commuting to larger centres, and it benefits from the tourism and character of the surrounding Cotswold countryside.
