Huntley is a small village and civil parish in the Forest of Dean district of Gloucestershire, sitting in gently rolling countryside a few miles west of Gloucester. The village occupies a pleasant edge-of-forest landscape where farmland, hedgerows and pockets of ancient woodland give way to views across the Severn Vale and surrounding hills.
Historically rural, Huntley’s character is shaped by farming and by the wider Forest of Dean traditions of forestry and local industry; today many residents commute to nearby towns while village life centres on a village hall, local pubs and community events. You’ll also find traditional stone houses, a parish church and a steady programme of local activities that underline a close-knit, largely residential community.
