Chalford

Chalford is a steep, linear village on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds, tucked into the Golden Valley on the banks of the River Frome, just a few miles from the market town of Stroud in Gloucestershire, England. Its landscape of narrow lanes and terraces gives a strong sense of place and makes it popular with walkers and cyclists exploring the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Historically Chalford grew up as part of the 18th–19th century woollen cloth industry, with rows of long-windowed weavers’ cottages and former mills - some of which have been converted into homes and small businesses.
