Ashleworth is a small village and civil parish in the district of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England, sitting beside the River Severn on low-lying floodplain with grazing meadows and long views towards the Cotswolds escarpment. The riverside setting, an old stone bridge and the nearby Ashleworth Quay nature reserve make it popular with walkers and birdwatchers, and give the settlement a quiet, slightly marshy character quite different from hilltop villages nearby.
Historically agricultural, the village retains several medieval buildings including the distinctive Ashleworth Tithe Barn and the church of St Bartholomew, which help attract local tourism. Today the local economy is a mix of farming, small-scale visitor activity and people who commute to nearby towns such as Gloucester and Cheltenham, while village life remains intimate with a strong sense of community.
